Welcome to Le Petit Lac, a large house separated into 2 spacious apartments/gites with lake and swimming pool in the Creuse department of the beautiful Limousin region of France. Sleeps from 2 - 16 persons.
Apartment/gite 1 can be rented as a one bedroom, three bedroom or four bedroom option and Apartment/gite 2 as a 3 bedroom. Rent both apartments together as a 7 bedroom option for up to 16 persons, ideal for large families or groups who wish to holiday together, but enjoy their own space.
Bed and breakfast or self catering available.

Bourganeuf in the Creuse department of France but only 10 minutes from the border of the Haute Vienne
Our holiday rentals are situated just a 5 minute walk from the town center of Bourganeuf which is a medieval town with Chateau, Tour de Zizim and has a traditional French market weekly for all your local produce. Bourganeuf is a quiet townbut has bars, restaurants and local shops and a square with church, marie and typical old french buildings. There is a larger supermarket situated just 1 mile from our rental to stock up on the holiday essentials.
There are also English speaking estate agents for those tempted to buy in this beautiful region. 
You can play a round of golf on the 9 hole golf course in Bourganeuf or take a look at the Electricity museum, conveniently situated next door to the Petit Lac (Bourganeuf was one of the first towns in France to have electricity).
For the keen walkers there are many marked walks around the town, colour coded for length and difficulty.
The firework display on Bastille Day (July 14th) is spectacular and not to be missed. The annual brocante is in the middle of August and Fete de la musique et le fete de St Jean at the end of June. Make the most of the few days of the year when the music and dancing goes on after midnight in the square.
The Limousin region
Offers lush green countryside with many lakes, forests and rivers. Ideal for the keen walker or fisherman but also appealing to someone who wants complete relaxation in an un-spoilt part of France. Limoges is a 45 minutes drive from Le Petit Lac and offers all the shopping and restaurants expected from a city. Also don’t forget to pick up the famous Limoges pottery.
The Creuse (Department 23)
Is one of the least populated departments in France. It is renowned for its peaceful, unspoilt countryside, dramatic landscapes and breathtaking views and lots of water, everywhere.
It has rivers full of Trout, Trench, Roach, Carp, and Pike, just pick up a fishing license from your local bar tabac and get casting.
Being one of the most undiscovered regions of France the roads are empty of traffic and offer the car and motorcyclist freedom to ride. At Le Petit Lac we offer secure parking for motorbikes and B&B stopovers to recuperate you on your travels.
The Creuse is well known among French cyclists for its mountain biking and downhilling with the French Mountain Bike Cup and stages in the MTB Tour de France held here almost every year. There are hundreds of kilometres of marked paths and newly constructed downhill runs which aren’t for the faint hearted.
Also throughout the Creuse region there are numerous small towns and villages each with it’s own character with bars and cafes where you can sit and watch the world go by. The landscape has been celebrated by artists such as Monet and Renoir and has parts known as George Sand country (after the author).
